Richard Christel is a Project Specialist in WRI's Climate Resilience Practice. He leads grant and financial management for the practice, as well as monitoring project performance. Additionally, he contributes to improve the Practice's and Governance Center's policies and procedures to ensure a smooth functioning team.

Prior to joining WRI, Richard was the Program Associate at the Transparency and Accountability Initiative – a donor collaborative of the world's leading philanthropic funders of the transparency, participation, and accountability space.

Richard holds a M.A. in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University where his studies focused on the intersection of corruption and conflict and won a fellowship award to intern abroad in summer 2018.

Outside of WRI, you can find him cycling, playing soccer, playing guitar, or reading.
